Applications are invited from suitably qualified public officers working in Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Governments to fill the following posts that exist in the Local Government Finance Commission [LGFC] structure.

Job Title: SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER (One Vacancy)
Salary Scale: LF 3 (UGX 2,302,300 p.m)
Contract Period: 4 years Contract, renewable on satisfactory performance. Initially the incumbent will serve six [6] months probation.
Age: 30 years and above.
Reports to: Commission Secretary

Qualifications and working experience:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding either of the following qualifications: An Honors Degree in Procurement/Purchasing and Supplies, BBA (Procurement option), B.Com (Procurement option) and a Masters Degree in Procurement/Purchasing and Supplies, Business Administration, Commerce. Full professional Membership to Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply [MCIPS] is a must.
Very good working knowledge of computer applications and IFMS  At least [3] years experience as a Procurement
Officer in Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Governments.
Duties:
Planning and controlling procurement services
Developing a procurement plan
Putting in place a prudent procurement system
Providing timely technical advice to Accounting Officer, Contract Committees and Heads of Department
Evaluating procurement requirements and recommending appropriate procedures
Preparing periodic reports and providing secretarial services to the Contract Committees
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
