Job: Contract Manager

Location: Kampala
Deadline: September 30, 2013 - 5pm
Reports to Maintenance Manager

Description

Job Purpose
• Acquisition and Management of contractors directly engaged by customer service Engineering

Interrelationships
• Works closely with Customer Service Engineering Manager (CSEM’s) and Customer Service Engineers (CSEs)

Principal Accountabilities
• Sourcing and hiring Contractors as required
• Identification and scoping of potential outsourcing opportunities
• Development and monitoring of contracts
• Delivery of services through the customer Services Engineers

Education, Experience and Skills
• Degree in Electrical Engineering 5 (five) years experience of electricity distribution Network
• IT proficiency
• Good report writing skills

Key competencies
• Excellent judgment particularly with respect to Umeme standards of construction and delivery
• Perceptive and astute in developing contracts and associated pricing and delivery
• Self driven and creative
