Description
DM is a Ugandan registered indigenous NGO whose mission is “to improve the quality of life of the informal sector communities through interventions that mitigate the impact of disease, promote sustainable development and empower communities to champion their own development.
With support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DM is implementing Strengthening HIV/AIDS Response in Market Communities (SHAREM) project in Lira, Mbale and Mbarara Districts.
Also with support from AIDS Healthcare Foundation/ Uganda Cares, DM is working with the same partner to implement HIV/ AIDS activities in Soroti, Rakai, Kampala and Wakiso Districts.
DM is seeking young, talented and hard-working individuals to be a part of a team committed to improving the lives of informal economy workers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with the partners, market management, community structures, and the liaison officers to ensure smooth implementation of project activities and timely feedback on project progress
• Spearheads, the process of delivery of intervention services through such activities as training, sensitization, mobilization, mapping for HCT outreaches plus referral and follow up of clients
• Writes quality and timely activity, monthly and half annual reports for activities implemented.
Qualifications, skills and abilities/experience 
• A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Development studies, Social Sciences or any other related field.
• Strong administration and management skills and ability to
work with minimum supervision.
• Should have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good Computer skills, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to speak and read the local language in the location of interest will be an added advantage
• Experience in carrying out similar work will be an added advantage.
