About NCS:
National Council of Sports (NCS) is a government statutory body that was established in 1964, to among other things develop, promote and control all sports activities in the country.
Job Summary: The Assistant Records Officer will primarily manage and maintain the registry and personal records in the council in an accessible form to end/intended users.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Subject records received, registered and classified;
- Files opened for keeping classified information and closed when due;
- Information and mails routed to officers responsible for action;
- Records and record systems periodically audited in the council;
- Information in the registry and Resource Centre organized and administered;
- Personal records received, registered, and classified;
- Personal files opened for keeping information and closed when due;
- Information/Various correspondences put on files and routed to officers responsible for action;
- Personal records and the user records system periodically audited;
- Confidential and top secret matters handled as prescribed.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Diploma in Library and Information Science (DLIS) or a diploma in Records and Information Management (DRIM)
- At least 3 years relevant professional experience in Records management
- A degree in information science/management is an addedadvantage.
