Sebei Diocese Church of Uganda together with the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Uganda; Deliverance Church in Uganda; and Perfection Church and Ministry are Christ centred Churches committed to fulfilling the Great Commission as assign by the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:16 to 20. This is done in a holistic approach, which includes Child Development Ministry. It’s upon this that the above Churches now invite Applications from born again professionals; aged between 23 – 45 years old for ministry work to fill the vacancies of Project Directors (4 posts) and Child Development Officers (14 posts), which are 7 posts for CDO SDR and 7 posts for CDO Health.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT OFFICERS (CDOs) SPONSOR DONOR RELATIONS (SDR) AND HEALTH

CDOs Reports to and supervised by the Project Director He /She is a team member and must exhibit a high sense of integrity He / She is one of Church Staff Members in the Local Church he / she is working in
Responsibilities for CDOs SDR & Health:

1.    Be a Christian model for children and their families

2.    Be an advocate for children

3.    Be able to help children correspond with their sponsors

4.    Be creative and innovative in the whole area of Child Development

5.    Project activity planning and implementation

6.    Do the documentation, record keeping/filing of sponsor relation issues

7.    Ensure working in a team and be a team player

8.    Ensuring Children are in a safe, nurturing environment at the project

9.    Child health maintenance and monitoring

10.    Promote health education

11.    Design and monitor the HIV AIDS interventions

12.    Ensure satisfactory learning processes, whether formal or informal

13.    Impart knowledge on entrepreneurship, Hygiene, Water and Sanitation

14.    Proven integrity in personal and public life in line with the Christian values

15.    Any other child related and Christian work assigned by the Project Director

Qualifications and Knowledge:

1.    Minimum Qualification is Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences; Development Studies, Education; and other disciplines from recognized Universities/Institutions.

2.    Child Development Programming for an assigned age group

3.    Working knowledge of basic NGO accounting.

4.    Working ability to communicate, both orally and in writing.

5.    Must have at least 2 years experience in related fields (Discipleship, Children Ministry, involvement in mission and ministry).

Working conditions:

He/she shall work at a local Church project in the hard to reach areas of Bukwo District and includes visiting children in their homes and schools. Should be prepared to work beyond normal working hours as need arises and travels to the Compassion International Uganda Office from time to time as well as for training.

Duty Station:

He/She will be a resident worker in the rural areas of Bukwo District.
