Oikocredit as a world-wide financial cooperative society promotes global justice by challenging people, churches, and others to share their resources to promote social justice through socially responsible investment and by empowering disadvantaged people with credit. Oikocredit provides credit and equity to small businesses through microfinance institutions across the developing world and directly to trade cooperatives, fair trade organizations and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Oikocredit seeks to recruit a PROJECT OFFICER reporting to the country manager who will be required to solicit business from potential clients, respond to potential partners on our products in a timely manner, evaluate credit proposals, business plans and feasibility studies as well as prepare financial proposals to present to a credit committee for approval. He/she will also be responsible for building a strong portfolio within the region, have the ability to facilitate the loan documentation and preparation of contracts (agreements, debentures, mortgages, guarantees etc) for funds disbursement.
Applications are invited from Ugandan citizens who hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. Additional Certifications in ACCA, CPA will be an additional advantage. Applicants should have 7 years experience in credit analysis with a financial institution, good relationship management, analytical ability and problem solving skills, confident, articulate and of high integrity.
A market level remuneration package based on an individual’s overall qualifications and experience will be offered.
