The Provincial Secretariat of the Church of the Province of Uganda (COU) seeks to recruit suitable persons for the positions below. These positions require individuals who are knowledgeable and experienced in the various fields, visionary, team workers, decision makers, able to work under tight deadlines with minimum supervision, computer literate and able to demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism, good communication skills(oral & written) and management skills. All positions require practicing Christians who are committed to Church of Uganda Values. POSITIONS:
1. Senior Internal Auditor
Reports to: Audit Committee functionally and Provincial Secretary administratively Supervises: Internal Audit Staff

Job Purpose:
• To undertake a broad, comprehensive programme of internal audit in the entire COU (Provincial Secretariat and Dioceses) and its related programme activities.
Qualities and experience required:
• 3-5 years experience in internal auditing
• University graduate in Commerce/Accounting/ Finance / MBA. Professional qualifications in ACCA, CIA or CPA will be an added advantage.
2. Coordinator – Planning, Development and Rehabilitation (PDR)
Reports to: Provincial secretary supervises: PDR Staff and PDR Affiliate Institutions
• To undertake a broad, comprehensive programme of internal audit in the entire COU (Provincial Secretariat and Dioceses) and its related programme activities.
Qualities and experience required:
• 3-5 years experience in internal auditing
• University graduate in Commerce/Accounting/ Finance / MBA. Professional qualifications in ACCA, CIA or CPA will be an added advantage.

Job Purpose:
• Offering technical guidance and support to the Provincial Church organs in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes
• Building capacities of Province, Dioceses and other Church organs in:
(a) mobilizing resources for their own development
(b) designing short, midterm and long-term development plans
• Promotion of external and internal contacts with Partners and well wishers of CoU
• Coordinate resource mobilization and investment activities in the Province
• Offering technical guidance and support to the Provincial Church organs in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes
• Building capacities of Province, Dioceses and other Church organs in:
(a) mobilizing resources for their own development
(b) designing short, midterm and long-term development plans
• Promotion of external and internal contacts with Partners and well wishers of CoU
• Coordinate resource mobilization and investment activities in the Province
Qualities and experience required:
• At least a Master’s degree in a Socio-Economic Development or related discipline.
• Should have experience of working in a similar job at senior management level preferably in NGO/FBO setting for at least 3-5 years.

3. Provincial Accountant
Reports to: Provincial Treasurer
Supervises: Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant and Cashier
Job Purpose:
• To ensure the production of timely and appropriate financial reporting
• To ensure that the Church of Uganda Provincial Secretariat financial management and Accounting functions are effectively maintained and all internal controls complied with.
• To prepare and ensure that all statutory returns are remitted in a timely manner
Qualities and experience required:
• An Honors Degree in Commerce/BBA (Accounting)/Finance. Membership to professional Accounting bodies i.e. ACCA, CPA, ICSA will be an added advantage
• At least 3-5 years work experience in Accounting field in a busy Faith-based organization or donor working environment
