Job: Consultant

Location: Kampala
Deadline: December 5, 2013 - 5pm

The Objective of the Feasibility Study:
The feasibility study aims to assess the viability of implementing a housing microfinance initiative amongst the low income earners in urban slums of Kampala City.
Requirement:
The Consultant should have proven qualifications and experience in conducting feasibility studies in the housing finance/microfinance market and/or slum upgrading and producing quality reports, have strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and clients. Specifically, the Consultant will demonstrate:
University or higher degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Finance, Urban Development or related fields.
At least ten years of professional experience in conducting feasibility studies or market research.
Proven experience in applying quantitative and qualitative research and analysis methods Experience in urban development or slum upgrading.
Experience in housing finance, microfinance or banking.
Experience in coordinating collaboration of stakeholders, consultants and other parties. Proven ability in data collection, analysis and in writing high quality and practical reports.
Excellent communication skills and understanding of local contexts;
Ability to meet deadlines.
Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
