Job: Laboratory Officer – 1 position (Karamoja sub region)

Description
Background:
 The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) headquartered at Mulago hospital, is a comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment organization that supports the treatment and care of HIV infected and affected Children and Adults. Baylor – Uganda has four operational areas; HIV/AIDS care, treatment and prevention services, maternal child health services, Health Professional training and Clinical Research. 

Role definition: 
Review and monitor the implementation of guidelines for providing laboratory test services in Karamoja sub region in line with current MoH laboratory professional standards and Baylor Uganda’s mission

Job specifications: 
The successful candidate will have: 1. A degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science or other laboratory related course with 3 years of laboratory work experience. Post graduate diploma in managerial aspects /masters in a laboratory related course and 2 years experience at a supervisory role will be an added advantage. 2. The candidate must be 25-30 years. 3. Have Key personal competences in customer care principles, Team, Focused and observant, analytical skills, networking and communication skills, documentation and reporting, presentation and training skills, profi cient use of automated laboratory instrumentation. 4.
