About Us: 
Our client, a leading oil and gas downstream multinational company in Uganda, is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for an exciting and challenging senior management role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Guide the implementation of the company policies in the Department.
  • Steer, plan and coordinate all matters HR, Administrative, and Legal strategies of the company.
  • Meet HR, Legal, Secretarial and Insurance requirements of the company.
  • Oversee, counsel, and train where appropriate, and appraise staff in the Department.
  • Control and approve expenses for the Department within limits of delegation set up by the Managing Director.
  • Coordinate implementation of management decisions relating to organising, appraising, developing, controlling all HR and Administrative matters of the company.
  • Coordinate the Sustainable Development policy and Action Plan of the Company.
  • Rigorously check the payroll monthly and related provisions, deductions and reconciliation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree in either Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Arts, Social Work and Social Administration or related field.
  • At least five years’ experience at senior management level.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Conflict management and problem solving skills
  • Negotiating skills
  • Computer proficiency i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of performance management
