KEY RESULT AREAS:
Ensure that all meals produced are as per agreed specifications by the clients. Train staff on basic hygiene practices and related HACCP and HALAL standards. Monitor food sample collection by the laboratory staff and send food samples to clients if requested.
Verify quality and safety conditions of all raw materials Monitors B & I to ensure that food safety and hygiene is not compromised. Ensures that all items in stores are well maintained.
Monitor the production process by verifying that all standards are well maintained. Ensures that portioned meal weights correspond to the relevant menu specifications. Ensures that all staff are knowledgeable about hygiene requirements and ensures that its implemented
Carry out monthly food tests
Monitoring operational procedures i.e. temperature controls Ensures that all first aid boxes are fully stocked and manage all first aid requirements Ensures that critical control points are well followed.
Support corrective and preventive actions and support actions implementation as required. Collect all injury on duty data Oversee the overall sanitary conditions.
Encourage that the company vision and values are lived throughout all aspects of duties performed to encourage cross-functional teamwork, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Education and Qualifications:
• At least a diploma in food science technology/ public health or food safety qualification
• Previous experience in agrifood industry is mandatory
• 3 years experience as quality officer in a food industry
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, and/or 22000 standards would be much appreciated
